Support

PAICYT 

The Support Program for Scientific and Technological Research (PAICYT for its Spanish abbreviation), is sponsored by the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, and it's aimed at Professors of this Institution that conduct research.

Financial support is provided through a call for proposal.

The preliminary drafts received from this call are revised and evaluated by different committees according to specialty:

  • Health Sciences
  • Engineering and Technology
  • Natural Sciences
  • Earth and Agricultural Sciences
  • Exact Sciences
  • Humanities, Educational, Social, and Administrative Sciences.

 The proposals can be presented in the following categories:

  • Faculty
  • Individual

Delivery of applications with the signature of your School's Dean will be at the Department of Research, located in the seventh floor of the Central Administration Building. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 12:30 hrs. and from 13:30 to 17:00 hrs.

PROVERICYT

The UANL Summer Program for Scientific and Technological Research (PROVERICYT, for its Spanish abbreviation) offers young students from High School and Undergraduate School the opportunity to have a 4 or 5 weeks stay in a laboratory, department or unit of research. The student will be under the supervision of a Professor/Researcher of the Institution who has enough experience in the area. The Professor will develop scientific activities and research projects in which the student will be thoroughly involved. 

 

RESEARCH PROGRAMS 

 

  • CONACYT

The National Council on Science and Technology is an organism responsible to develop the policies of Science and Technology in Mexico. The goal is to consolidate a National System on Science and Technology that responds to the priority demands of the country, solves issues and specific needs, and help raising the living standards and welfare of population.   

 

  • SNI 

The National Researchers System (SNI for its acronym in Spanish) promotes the development of science, technology and innovation activities, in any branch of knowledge, for the benefit of Mexican society.  

 

  • Repatriation

Chairs of Excellence Program
The fund is intended for Scientists who are working in foreign institutions and are willing to have an uninterrupted stay of one year with the possibility to extend it for another year at a national institution.
