UANL enhancing global academic connections
A total of 94 national and 60 international students will join one of the 23 UANL Schools participating in the program at the Maximum Academic Institution in the State.
Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) welcomed 154 students from both national and international higher education institutions as part of its Academic Mobility Program.
In this edition of the program, 94 national and 60 international students will join one of the 23 UANL Schools participating in our institution’s program.
UANL President Santos Guzmán López welcomed the students at the Internationalization Center who will be joining UANL’s undergraduate and graduate programs for the August-December 2024 semester.
In his message, Guzmán López emphasized that one of the fundamental objectives of the University’s growth is internationalization, which fosters academic exchanges for both professors and students.
At our University, one of the key principles we’ve prioritized and expanded during the first three years of my tenure has been the internationalization of both the faculty and student community, and we will continue to advance this effort.

Academic, cultural, and social exchange.
Sandra Nora González Díaz, head of the UANL Vice President of International Relations, highlighted that the academic exchange programs the students are about to undertake are designed for academic, cultural, and social enrichment. Students from countries including Germany, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Spain, the United States, France, Japan, Morocco, Peru, as well as from universities across Mexico, will join UANL departments in pursuit of an outstanding and global education.
Ready to explore the city
Milagros del Rosario Ochoa Rodríguez, a student from Universidad San Martín de Porres in Lima, Peru, shared that one of the key factors influencing her decision to participate in the academic exchange at UANL was the experience and advice of professors from her home country. They affirmed that the institution offers top-notch resources that enhance the learning experience.
On the other hand, Chilean student Felipe Hernán Erizes noted that his interest in research was a significant factor in his decision to undertake his international exchange at the State University.
The student from Universidad Santo Tomás in Santiago, Chile, expressed his desire to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Mexican economy to apply this knowledge in his home country, Peru.
Ana Reina Terre, a native of Seville, Spain, stated that her fascination with Mexican culture motivated her decision to pursue her academic exchange in the state of Nuevo León.
Her academic stay at the School of Public Accounting and Administration will enable Ana to earn a double degree and help her decide whether to pursue a postgraduate degree in Mexico or Spain.
