Objective

The Center for Economic Research (CIE) is an institution affiliated with the UANL School of Economics. Established in 1960, its primary aim was to facilitate theoretical and applied economic research to benefit both public and private sectors in the northeastern region of Mexico. Today, the CIE extends its consulting and research services nationally.

Industrial services

The CIE has cultivated significant research areas, particularly in labor studies, industrial organization and economic regulation analysis, demographics, migration, health economics, sectorial industrial analysis, standards of living and income distribution, and regional economic geography. Moreover, we boast extensive expertise in conducting market studies, evaluating public and private projects, forecasting production and employment, as well as designing surveys.
