2020 Simbrah Miss World Award

Global Livestock Solutions and the Mexican Association of Simmental Simbrah Breeders presented UANL the awards that acknowledge the work done in the development of the highest genetic quality specimens to support the country’s livestock industry.

Due to its remarkable genetic, breeding, and research quality, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) received the “2020 Simbrah Miss World” and “Miss North America 2020” awards for Señorita UANL D051. At the event, awards were presented to Jose Alfredo Arellano Jaimes, from Rancho “La Parota”, in the categories “Champion of North America 2020”, in the Brahman, and also in the Beefmaster/Droughtmaster breed.

CIPA, work of international excellence.

UANL President, Rogelio Garza Rivera said that these awards encourage them to continue working through CIPA, which is a pioneer in Mexico in the breeding of registered Simmental Simbrah cattle.

Mexico’s beef production is growing.

Besides extending his congratulations to UANL, the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development in Mexico, Dr. Victor Manuel Villalobos Arambula, pointed out the work of the University and cattle breeders in the country.

During the event, it was noted that Mexico’s beef production reached an all-time high of 2 million tons, this represents an increase of 2.4 percent over 2018.
