Santos Guzman named member of Ibero-American Association

For the first time in the history of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, the UANL President has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Ibero-American Graduate University Association.

Due to his distinguished trajectory and commitment to education with an international perspective, UANL President, Santos Guzmán López, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Ibero-American University Association of Postgraduate Studies (AUIP).

This international organization, with which the university has strengthened ties since 2011, comprises over 300 higher education institutions from Spain, Portugal, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Through this appointment, the UANL President will help establish initiatives to strengthen the training of university professors, scientists, and graduate professionals to address global challenges.

“This is the first time this role has been granted to our university, and I hope to perform satisfactorily, sharing knowledge and experience with other universities,” said Guzmán López.

“This new opportunity will enable us to double down on our efforts among the member nations of the association, with the primary goal of ensuring high-quality graduate programs, as well as continuous professional development for our teaching and research staff,” Guzmán López remarked.
