Scientific Perspectives on the issue of violence against women
To address the issue of violence against women scientifically, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon organized the inaugural colloquium 'In Search of Gender Equality: Dialogues on the Elimination of Violence against Women.'
This academic and research program spans two days, aligning with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women observed annually on November 25th.
Can the human race progress and thrive without resorting to violence? In posing this question during his address, Juan Manuel Alcocer González, the Secretary of Scientific Research and Technological Development at UANL, prompted the audience to ponder on the possibility of human action and development free from violence.
Given the widespread issues of violence in Nuevo León and Mexico at large, the university official noted the unfortunate acceptance of this problem within society
