The start of a promising tomorrow

During the celebrations at the UANL Open Square for the 90th anniversary of the University, the UANL President defined the University as a lighthouse of opportunities for generations of students.

“Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon has been a lighthouse of opportunities for many generations, for more than 500,000 graduates through its different systems: university technicians, dual technicians, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, doctorates, and majors,” said UANL President Santos Guzman Lopez, who shared this indicator.

This is the legacy of the Maximum Academic Institution in the state, an institution that since 1933 has been transforming people’s lives through education as a social instrument. It has been 90 years of this commitment to Nuevo Leon and the country, to train professionals capable of contributing to economic, social, and cultural development.

Celebration at Ciudad Universitaria

On September 25, University authorities took the stage installed in the emblematic Ciudad Universitaria to lead the celebrations for the 90th anniversary of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon.

“During these nine decades, we have evolved and grown, transforming ourselves into a benchmark of higher education, research, and service to society. Since its founding, our University has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and inclusion,” he said.

“In the face of the pandemic we encountered two years ago, this institution exhibited unwavering resilience, persistently forging ahead and embracing transformation. Confronted with a formidable challenge, we rose to the occasion, and here we stand today. As we reflect upon 90 years of our history, we see an institution that has not only nurtured highly skilled professionals but also visionary leaders, artists, and researchers.”
