Edgar Luna Dominguez, appointed as the new head of the UANL Economic Research Center, wishes, in addition to holding projects of international scope, to turn its facilities into a repository of regional economic information.

Developing international projects concerning poverty and evaluating public policies, among other topics, is one of the objectives of the new head of the UANL Center for Economic Research (CIE), Edgar Mauricio Luna Dominguez.

“We have plans to work on international projects related to the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank where we can contribute with our expertise. We want to have more presence at a global level and we are looking for long-term projects,” says the researcher from the UANL School of Economics.

Creating a repository

Transforming the UANL Center for Economic Research into a repository of information related to the economy of the entity is one of the objectives.

The plan is to provide society with the necessary data on inflation and the price of housing and the basic food basket, to mention a few topics.

The web page of the UANL Center for Economic Research that would serve as a repository is currently under development, however, when it is available, another task will be to continue producing short videos, bulletins, and infographics so that people can better understand the economic issues that have an impact on our society.
