UANL Research Award 2019
Imagine for a moment a new device able to combat harmful gas emissions while cleans polluted water, and converts carbon dioxide into new source of energy. Let us keep dreaming with the possibility of killing cancer cells or using silk fibroin to build bones.
These are some of the latest researches that were awarded this last August 14th with the UANL Research Award 2019. Nine research projects out of 102 are collaborating in seven knowledge areas: health sciences, earth sciences, exact sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and technology.
These research projects have been published in international scientific journals. Since 1981 this contest has been in place, it starts in November and has three stages: regional, national, and international. Explained Juan Manuel Alcocer Gonzalez, head of Scientific and Tecnological research program at UANL.
Research centers and academics received an economic incentive of 125 thousand pesos. This year, social and exact sciences were also granted with it.
