UANL strengthens cooperation with France

Academic and cultural ties were broadened during the Franco-Mexican Forum on University and Scientific Cooperation, held last March 27 and 28, at the ANUIES offices.

Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) and the Embassy of the French Republic in Mexico extend their collaboration ties to promote student mobility, artist internships, and faculty training on gender equality.

UANL President Santos Guzman Lopez signed this institutional agreement with Ambassador Jean-Pierre Asvazadourian on March 27, at the opening of the Franco-Mexican Forum on University and Scientific Cooperation “Balance, Challenges and Perspectives”.

With this agreement, both institutions decided to extend the scope of the agreement signed on December 21, 2021, which was aimed at the creation of Campus France at the UANL. This agreement will favor student mobility to France, as well as allow the establishment of scholarship programs for the training and internship of students at the postgraduate level – master’s and doctorate – in France.

“The renewal of this bond entails the implementation of a joint program to promote the residence of French artists at UANL and another to reinforce French language teaching for professors at Escuela Industrial y Preparatoria Técnica Alvaro Obregón”.

Promoting the value of institutional performance assessment

UANL President Santos Guzman Lopez spoke at the round table “Quality assessment of higher education institutions: expertise and institutional accreditation”.

Guzmán López also exchanged views with the vice-president of the University of Lille, Kathleen O’Connor, and the Scientific and University Cooperation Attaché of the French Embassy in Mexico, Guillaume Boccara.
