UANL student goes to IBO 2023

Ingrid Vanessa Infante Lee, who is 18 years old, is participating in the XXXIII International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2023), which is being held from July 3 to 11 in the United Arab Emirates.

After a year of preparation and multiple competitions in the country, Ingrid Vanessa Infante Lee, a student of the UANL Center for Research and Development of Bilingual Education (CIDEB), is a member of the Mexican delegation that will represent our country in the International Biology Olympiad.

“I try to read as much as possible, I am on the computer all day to acquire as much information as possible. I also watch videos to learn about technical matters,” said the student.

To achieve international representation, Ingrid had arduous training in Mexico City. UNAM researchers supported her with the use of theoretical and practical exams.

During the international competition, Ingrid Vanessa will face other students from countries such as Japan, Finland, Denmark, China, Germany, United Kingdom, among others.

Ingrid is part of the Mexican delegation which includes María Fernanda Orozco, Luis Aceves, and Alonso Lopez, all of them from the State of Mexico.

The XXXIII edition of IOB 2023 is being held at the United Arab Emirates University.
