UANL will be guest of honor at FIL 2023

This year's edition of Feria Internacional del Libro de Monterrey will celebrate the 90th anniversary of our Maximum Academic Institution and the 80th anniversary of Instituto Técnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

Feria Internacional del Libro Monterrey (FIL) 2023 will celebrate the nine decades of the existence of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) by announcing that UANL will be the guest of honor for this year’s edition.

UANL President, Santos Guzman Lopez, expressed his gratitude for the distinction to the University for being the guests of honor at the book fair.

He stated that as institutions of higher education, it is motivating to bring authors closer to young students in order to encourage a taste for reading.

Talks on migration and cultural connections
According to information from UANL, it is the second public higher education institution with the largest publishing production in the country. Its catalog includes researchers, knowledge disseminators, and fiction writers.

The main focus of the 2023 edition of FIL, which will be held from October 7 to 15, will be ” Leer el mundo: demografía, cultura y polarización” (Reading the world: demographics, culture, and polarization).

From there, we will explore and spark conversation about the dynamics of migration and contact between cultures, since Nuevo Leon has experienced the phenomenon of migration throughout its history.
