Application for International Students
The Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, through its Office of the Vice President for International Relations and the Academic Exchange Office, invites students from international educational institutions that have an active agreement with our University or with the Government of Mexico to participate as visiting students in one of its upper secondary or higher education programs during the January–June 2026 semester.
Applicants must meet the following requirements, submit the requested documents in PDF format, and complete the corresponding form within the application period, which will remain open until October 31, 2025.
Visiting students are required to:
- Be nominated by a national or international institution or organization that has an agreement with the University;
- Submit an application to the Academic Mobility Office specifying the school or faculty and the educational program of their choice, as well as the semester in which they wish to participate, and attach the following documents:
- Letter of recommendation from the home institution
- List of courses or activities they wish to take
- Letter of motivation
- Transcript of grades as of the date of application
- Medical and psychological certificate of good health
- Civil liability insurance
- Medical insurance with international coverage, including dental and psychological care, as well as repatriation and transportation, valid from the date of departure until return to the home city
- Certificate of Spanish proficiency as required in the call for applications
3. Provide a copy of a valid passport and comply with the immigration regulations established by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Institute of Migration.
4.Grant a simple power of attorney to the person responsible for academic mobility to submit grades and cover any costs associated with their issuance and delivery.
5. Comply with university, state, and federal legislation.
Applicants must submit the following documents:
Application letter issued by the home institution
- Completed the UANL mobility application form
- Form listing the courses or academic activities you wish to take at UANL
- Letter of motivation addressed to UANL
- Updated curriculum vitae
- Official transcript valid as of the date of application
- Medical and psychological certificate confirming good health
- Civil liability insurance policy and major medical insurance with coverage throughout Mexico, including dental and psychological care, as well as repatriation if necessary, valid for the entire period of stay
- Official certificate of Spanish proficiency: SIELE or DIELE, level B1/B2
- Simple copy of a valid passport
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Completed UANL application form
- Copy of both sides of your bachelor’s degree (undergraduate) certificate
- Letter of motivation addressed to UANL
- Authorization form for the courses to be taken at UANL
- Official transcript valid as of the date of application
- Updated curriculum vitae
- Schedule of activities, according to the duration of the stay, signed by both tutors
- Letter of invitation from the person extending the invitation to stay at UANL
- Summary of the preliminary project or project to be developed during the stay
- Medical and psychological certificate confirming good health
- Civil liability insurance policy and medical insurance with coverage in Mexico, including dental and psychological care, and repatriation if necessary, valid for the entire duration of the stay
- Official Spanish language certificate: SIELE or DIELE, level B1/B2
- Simple copy of a valid passport
- In agreement with their home institution, the student must register their application, submit their documents (via Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.), and accept the application statement using the following form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/HQiDgjrwQT.
- Once the complete application file has been received, the Academic Exchange Office, in coordination with the student’s home institution and the host school or faculty at UANL, will evaluate each application.
- Accepted students will receive an official letter of acceptance in digital format with the details of their stay. If a physical copy is required, it must be requested in advance, with the student assuming responsibility for the process and any associated costs.
- For stays in Mexico longer than 180 days, students must apply for a visa from their country of origin.
- All documents must be submitted in digital format and either written in or translated into Spanish. Once all requirements have been met and verified, the student will be nominated to the school or faculty of their choice.
